Most Liked

Visitors rave about the extensive beer selection, showcasing various local ales and international brews that appeal to many tastes. The food comes highly recommended, especially the homemade specials like the Chicken and Mushroom Pie and the indulgent Sticky Toffee Pudding. Many patrons appreciate the inviting atmosphere and the friendly locals, making it a perfect spot for socializing. Proximity to the canal also adds a scenic element that elevates leisurely meals, with nice views adding to the overall experience. Reservations are welcomed, making it easy for larger groups to enjoy their time together without the hassle of waiting.

Most Disliked

Some customers note that peak times can lead to crowded conditions, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. While this contributes to the lively atmosphere, it may detract from the experience for those seeking a quieter outing. A few patrons have mentioned limited child and dog-friendly times, which may restrict their visits. Additionally, during busy dinner hours, service may slow down, affecting overall satisfaction. Diners seeking unique menu options might find The Fountain Inn sticks to classic pub fare, limiting choices for more adventurous eaters.

Fantastic Black Country pub. Well worth a visit, especially if you are in a canal boat. Safe moorings on the off side, outside the doctors surgery. Short walk around to the pub from there. Great hot and cold food options, and super friendly staff and locals

This is the most brilliant place to eat. The food is amazing all freshly cooked and fresh produce. Had the biggest Christmas dinner I have ever eaten. The landlord is the most amazing chef and host. Lovely staff. Lovely atmosphere.

We first visited here 2 years ago - delighted to say nothing has changed a very friendly welcome when you arrive! Very near the mooring at Coronation Park. Food available at lunchtime, looks fabulous but we haven’t eaten here. Would happily recommend this canalside pub - children and dogs only at certain times, phone to check.

The chicken parmesan was hearty, topped with melted mozzarella and marinara sauce. Served with spaghetti, it was comforting and flavorful, though the portion was almost too generous.

The home of the Tipton slasher bare knuckle fighter. William Perry was a bare knuckle champion in the 1850 to 1857. In 1836 he trained at the Fountain Inn and is a local Victorian legend even today. The pub is nice and cosy and has got a nice selection of beers. It also serves food and there's a outdoor seating area as well.
